The popular Mexican fusion restaurant, The Mexicano, is set to make its mark in the East Valley with the opening of its second location at Chandler Fashion Center this coming fall. This exciting news was announced by The Maggiore Group, the Scottsdale-based company that brings The Mexicano concept to life.
The first location of The Mexicano, which combines traditional Mexican dishes with innovative twists, opened its doors in December 2021 on Cactus Road near Tatum Boulevard in Phoenix. Now, the expansion to Chandler Fashion Center aims to bring the same fun, energetic, and delicious dining experience to a new audience.
Chef and co-founder of The Maggiore Group, Joey Maggiore, expressed his enthusiasm about the new location, stating that the Chandler spot will embody the same vibrant atmosphere that guests have come to know and love. The Mexicano’s menu features a fusion of traditional Mexican favorites like tacos, enchiladas, and burritos, alongside unique offerings such as birria bao buns and guacamole with a salsa “Ferris wheel” presentation.
The Chandler location will offer additional amenities, including a build-your-own margarita bar, dynamic Latin music provided by live DJs, and daily happy hour deals on both food and beverages. As the opening date is yet to be confirmed, The Mexicano plans to recruit a diverse range of employees for various positions closer to the summer.
This expansion is not the only one on The Maggiore Group’s agenda. Alongside The Mexicano, the company already operates several successful restaurant concepts such as Rosticceria, Hash Kitchen, Sicilian Butcher, and Sicilian Baker. Furthermore, The Maggiore Group has recently announced plans to introduce six new branches of their popular Hash Kitchen in Texas, Nevada, and Utah, expanding their footprint beyond Arizona.
